TiMER
Details
TiMER (2009) is a heartwarming romantic comedy that takes place in a world where a device called the TiMER is implanted in people's wrists to count down to the day they will find true love. However, Oona O'Leary finds herself in a unique situation - her TiMER is blank, indicating that her soulmate has yet to have a TiMER implanted.
As Oona approaches her thirties and grows tired of waiting for her ideal partner, she decides to break her own rules and falls for Mikey, a charming and younger supermarket clerk who has a countdown of only four months on his TiMER. This unconventional romance leads Oona to question the limitations imposed by the TiMER device and explore the true meaning of love and timing in relationships.
With its thought-provoking premise, TiMER explores themes of destiny, love, and the complexities of relationships in a lighthearted and humorous way. The film offers a fresh take on the traditional romantic comedy genre, challenging the notion that love can be predicted or controlled by technology.
TiMER is a feel-good film that will appeal to fans of romantic comedies and anyone who has ever questioned the idea of finding love within a prescribed timeframe. Get ready for a charming and witty journey as Oona and Mikey navigate their relationship against the ticking clock of their TiMERs.
