Tillsammans is a heartwarming comedy set in the 70s, where a diverse group of individuals come together to form a unique community. When Elisabeth, the sister of one of the members, decides to leave her alcoholic and abusive husband, she finds herself in need of a new place to stay with her children. Despite not having any strong political beliefs, Elisabeth agrees to live in the community and quickly discovers the benefits of this unconventional lifestyle.
The film gently pokes fun at people with strong ideals and narrow-mindedness, depicting characters who are passionate about socialism, feminism, and environmentalism. It highlights the clashes that occur when people with different beliefs and values come together, but ultimately emphasizes the power of growth and learning through interpersonal connections.
As the story unfolds, the importance of self-improvement and setting boundaries is explored. The characters are faced with personal challenges, such as tackling alcoholism and abuse, and learn to take responsibility for their actions. The film ultimately delivers a powerful message about the transformative power of human connection and the need for mutual respect and understanding.
Tillsammans is a delightful comedy that offers a nuanced portrayal of communal living and the potential for personal growth within a diverse community. With its humorous yet thoughtful approach, the film reminds viewers of the importance of both individual introspection and harmonious coexistence.
