Gosnell: The Trial of America's Biggest Serial Killer (2018) is a gripping and chilling movie that delves into the horrifying crimes committed by Kermit Gosnell, known as America's biggest serial killer. Based on true events, this film uncovers the shocking story that shocked the nation.
Set in Philadelphia, the movie follows the intense trial of Gosnell, a respected doctor who ran an abortion clinic for several years. However, behind the façade of his medical practice, he operated a gruesome operation, conducting illegal, late-term abortions. This sinister undertaking resulted in the death of countless infants who were born alive and then murdered. Gosnell's crimes were later exposed when law enforcement and media stumbled, quite accidentally, upon a drug investigation at his clinic.
As the trial unfolds, District Attorney, Assistant District Attorney, and a team of determined investigators pull back the curtain on Gosnell's heinous crimes, revealing a side of humanity that is both horrifying and unacceptable. Through compelling performances, the film uncovers the truth that was kept hidden for far too long, raising important questions about ethics, the legal system, and the responsibility to protect innocent lives.
