In Big Daddy (1999), a lazy law school graduate named Sonny Koufax, played by Adam Sandler, decides to adopt a child to impress his girlfriend. However, things do not go according to plan, and Sonny finds himself thrust into the role of an unlikely foster father.
Sonny's girlfriend leaves him shortly after the adoption, leaving him to care for the child, five-year-old Julian, on his own.
