Allt för Sverige (2011) is a Swedish reality series that premiered on Swedish Television in October 2011. The show, which is based on the popular Norwegian series Alt for Norge, follows Swedish-Americans as they return to Sweden in search for their roots. Filming for the first season took place in June 2011.
Hosted by Anders Lundin, the series follows participants on a journey to discover their family history and learn more about their Swedish heritage. Each week, one participant is forced to leave the series, potentially missing their chance to delve deeper into their origins.
One of the key elements of the show is the puzzle pieces that participants collect throughout the series, which ultimately create a complete map of their family tree. Genealogist Helena Stark guides the participants in their search and helps them uncover long-lost relatives.
Allt för Sverige offers a unique and emotional experience for both the participants and viewers, as they explore their family history and connect with their Swedish heritage. The series highlights the importance of understanding one's roots and the impact it can have on their identity. With its captivating storytelling and fascinating genealogical discoveries, Allt för Sverige is a must-watch for anyone interested in personal journeys of self-discovery.
