Surrounded by wealth and living in Manhattan, 12-year-old cello prodigy Reggie lives a lonely life. His parents are frequently absent, leaving him to fend for himself. Lacking friends and a strong support system, Reggie is desperate for connection and understanding. One day, fate brings him in contact with Eleanor, a struggling 23-year-old musician who has been recently let go from her job.
