Rorelsen is a gripping and thought-provoking documentary that delves into the rise of the so-called Freedom Movement in Sweden. With the pandemic and restrictions providing them with momentum, the revolution seems imminent, and the Freedom Movement is at the forefront of the fight against what they perceive as elitists attempting to control and restrict the lives of ordinary citizens.
Ethnologist Kalle Ström takes us on a journey to understand the motivations behind this growing movement. Over the course of nearly two years, Ström gains unique access to the inner workings of the Freedom Movement, providing viewers with an insider's perspective.
Through interviews and observational footage, the documentary explores the profound need that drives individuals to challenge societal norms and laws. Ström seeks to uncover the deep-seated frustrations and desires that push people to take a stand against authority.
Rorelsen raises important questions about the balance between personal freedoms and societal restrictions, shedding light on the complexities of contemporary society. As Sweden faces a critical juncture, this documentary offers viewers a rare opportunity to gain insight into the forces shaping the nation's future.
