In the movie Insomnia, two seasoned Los Angeles detectives, Will Dormer and Hap Eckhart, are sent to a small town known as Nightmute in Alaska. The town, situated above the Arctic Circle, experiences constant daylight during the summer months, causing sleepless nights. They have been assigned to investigate the brutal murder of a local teenager.
As the detectives dig deeper into the case, they find themselves caught in a web of deception and complexity. Will, portrayed by the legendary Al Pacino, battles inner demons and guilt from a past case, which begins to affect his ability to think clearly.
